Serbia Flag

This flag is a tricolor consisting of three horizontal bands, red on the top, blue in the middle and white on the bottom. The state flag bears the lesser coat of arms, centered vertically and shifted to the hoist side by one-seventh of the flag's length.
Dijibouti Flag

Two equal horizontal bands of blue and green with a white triangle based on the hoist side bearing a red five-pointed star in the center. The colors used can be seen to symbolize the earth, the sea and sky and peace, with the star representing unity.
Azerbaijian Flag

Three equal bands colored blue, red, and green, with a white crescent and an eight-pointed star are centered in the red band. The blue band refers to Turkic heritage, the red is for progress and Europeanisation and the green refers to Islam.
Saint Kits Flag

A thick black diagonal band of color from the lower left to the upper right divides this flag into three sections. The black band is outlined in yellow and contains two white, five-pointed stars. The top left triangle is green, the bottom right is red.
Afghanistan Flag

Three vertical bands of color of equal width. The left is black, the middle is red and the right is green. A gold emblem is centered in the red band of color. It features a wreath with a stylized temple in the center and a bold inscription at the top.
Grenada Island Flag

Two vertical yellow triangles and two horizontal green triangles with a red border. The center of flag shows a red circle with a yellow 5 point star. The left hand green triangle features a yellow and red nutmeg emblem.
United Kingdom Flag

Blue flag with a thick red cross in the center extending to the edges of the flag. The red cross is outlined with thinner white lines. There are two thin, red, diagonal lines outlined in white that crisscross behind the large red cross.
Uarab Flag

Multicolored flag with a red, vertical band of color on the left side. The rest of the flag is divided into three horizontal bands of color. The top band is green, the middle band is white and the bottom band is black.
Turkey Flag

Red flag with a large, white, crescent-shaped moon and a white, five-pointed star. The star is tilted slightly to the left and sits in the opening of the crescent shape. The moon and star are located slightly left of center.
Slovakia Flag

Three horizontal bands of color of equal height. The top is white, the middle is blue and the bottom is red. A large red shield with a white double cross and blue cloud is featured in the center. The shield has a thin white outline.
VI Flag

White flag featuring a yellow eagle holding an olive branch in one talon and three blue arrows in the other. The eagle has a blue shield with red and white stripes and is flanked by a blue "V" on the left, and a blue "I" on the right.
Yemen Flag

Three horizontal bands of color of equal height. The top band is red, the middle band is white and the bottom band is black. This flag was modeled after flags of this country's former North and South divisions.
Nigeria Flag

Three vertical bands of color of equal width. The left band is green, the middle band is white and the right band is green. The green bands are symbolic of the fertile land and the white band represents peace and country unity.
Panama Flag

This flag is made up of four rectangles of equal size. The top left is white with a blue, five-pointed star. The top right is solid red. The lower left is solid blue. The lower right is white with a red, five-pointed star.
Peru Flag

Three vertical bands of color of equal width. The left band is red, the middle band is white and the right band is red. In the center is the coat of arms featuring a vicuna, a cinchona tree and a cornucopia.
Philippines Flag

The flag is divided in half horizontally. The top half is blue and the bottom half is red. The left side of the flag contains a white triangle. This triangle features a large stylized sun and three small, yellow, five-pointed stars.
Puerto Rico Flag

Five horizontal bands of color of equal height. The top, center and bottom bands are red. In between are bands of white. A blue triangle is lined up on the left side of the flag. It features a white, five-pointed star in the center.
Russia Flag

Three horizontal bands of color of equal height. The top band is white, the middle band is blue and the bottom band is red. This design was originally based on the Dutch flag and its colors are known as the Pan-Slavic colors.
Nepal Flag

Red flag outlined in blue. It is made of two overlapping triangles aligned on the left. The top triangle features a white moon with a sun shape rising up and the bottom triangle features a white, twelve-pointed sun.
Latvia Flag

Three horizontal bands of color. The top and bottom are maroon bands of equal height. The middle band which is white is thinner. This is one of the oldest national flags in the world. It is reported to date back to 1279.
Nicaragua Flag

Three horizontal bands of color of equal height. The top band is blue, the middle is white and the bottom is blue. In the center is the national coat of arms which features a triangle with words encircling it.
Netherlands Flag

Three horizontal bands of color of equal height. The top band is red, the middle band is white and the bottom band is blue. This flag's colors were originally orange, white and blue, but in the 17th century, red replaced orange.
Mexico Flag

Three vertical bands of color of equal width. The left band is green, the middle band is white and the right band is red. Centered in the white band is the coat of arms featuring an eagle with a snake in its mouth.
Kenya Flag

Three horizontal bands of color of equal height. The top is black, the middle is red and the bottom is green. Each band is separated by a thinner white band. The center features a red, black and white shield in front of crossed spears.
Ivory Flag

Three vertical bands of color of equal width. The left band is orange, the middle band is white and the right band is green. Some say that orange stands for the savannah grasslands, white is for peace and green is for the coastal forests.
Jamaica Flag

Two thick, yellow, diagonal lines intersect this flag to form an X. The X extends to the edges of the flag creating four triangles. The triangles on the left and right are black. The triangles at the top and bottom are green.

Three vertical bands of color of equal width. The left band is red, the middle band is yellow and the right band is green. Some say that red is for the struggle for independence, yellow is for the sun and green is for the country's vegetation.
Guyana Flag

Green flag with a yellow triangle outlined in white on the left side that intersects the center of the right side. There is also a red triangle outlined in black along the left side that ends in the center of the flag.
Haiti Flag

Horizontal blue band on top with an equal sized red band on the bottom. In the center is a white rectangle containing the coat of arms which features a palm tree, flags, cannons and a scroll with a quote underneath.
Honduras Flag

Three horizontal bands of color of equal height. The top is blue, the middle is white and the bottom is blue. The center of the white band features a set of five blue, five-pointed stars set in an X pattern.
Hong Kong Flag

Red flag with a stylized large white Bauhinia flower in the center. The flower has five petals and each petal has a curved line in the center with a small, red, five-pointed star at the end. The whole flower curves in a swirling design.
Hungary Flag

Three horizontal bands of color of equal height. The top band is red, the middle band is white and the bottom band is green. It is said that the red band represents strength, white represents faithfulness and green represents hope.
Iceland Flag

Blue flag with a cross that extends to the edges. The cross is made of two intersecting thick red lines and is outlined with a thinner white line. It is slightly to the left of center creating a blue square in both the upper and lower left corners.
Iraq Flag

Three horizontal bands of color of equal height. The top band is red, the middle is white and the bottom is black. The white band contains three green, five-pointed stars separated by two phrases.
Italy Flag

Three vertical bands of color of equal width. The left band is green, the middle band is white and the right band is red. This flag once featured the royal coat of arms but was removed in 1946 when the monarchy was abolished.
Costa Rica Flag

Five horizontal bands of color starting with blue then white. A thicker red bar is in the center followed by a white bar and blue bar. To the left of center is a white circle featuring the coat of arms.
Cuba Flag

Alternating, equally sized, horizontal bands starting with blue then white. The left side features a red triangle that extends from the top left corner to the bottom. The triangle contains a white, five-pointed star in the center.
Dominican Flag

A white cross in the center features a coat of arms with a phrase underneath. The upper left and lower right corners are made up of blue rectangles and the upper right and lower left corners are made up of red rectangles.
Ecuador Flag

The top half is yellow and the lower half contains a blue then a red band of color. In the center is a vibrantly colored coat of arms featuring a nature scene surrounded by banners with a large bird of prey on top.
Fiji Flag

Light blue flag with a smaller blue, red and white flag in the upper left section. Centered on the right half is a red shield with four sections of white. Inside are images of a sugar cane, a palm tree, a dove and bananas.
France Flag

Three vertical bands of color of equal width. The left band is blue, the middle band is white and the right band is red. When this country's flag originated the colors were reversed from how they appear today.
Germany Flag

Three horizontal bands of color of equal height. The top band is black, the middle band is red and the bottom band is yellow. These colors were taken from soldiers' uniforms which were black coats with a red braid and gold buttons.
Guatemala Flag

Three vertical bands of color. The left is light blue, middle is white and right is light blue. The center features a coat of arms with the national bird, crossed rifles, crossed swords and a scroll all encircled in a wreath.
Greece Flag

Alternating, equally sized, horizontal bands of light blue and white. There are five light blue bands and four white bands. The upper left corner consists of a light blue square with a white cross in the center.
Canada Flag

The center of the flag consists of a white square that extends to the top and bottom edges. It features a large, stylized, eleven-pointed, red leaf in the center. This is flanked by two red, vertical bands of color.
Bermuda Flag

Red flag with a smaller blue, red and white flag in the upper left section. On the right side of the flag is the coat of arms featuring a red lion holding a shield with an image of a ship sinking in turbulent waters
Cayman Flag

Blue flag with a smaller blue, red and white flag in the upper left section. The right half contains a coat of arms with three green stars and a yellow lion on a shield, with a turtle and pineapple on top. A banner underneath features a quote.
Chili Flag

The top left corner contains a blue square with a white, five-pointed star in the center. To the right of the blue square is a horizontal white bar the same height. The lower half of the flag contains a horizontal red bar.
China Flag

Red flag with a large, yellow, five-pointed star. The large star is featured in the upper left corner. Placed in a vertical arc curving around to the right of the large star are four equally spaced, yellow, five-pointed stars.
Antigua Flag

Red flag with an inverted triangle at the top. The triangle extends to the edges of the flag and contains three bands of color. The top is black, the middle is light blue and the bottom is white. The black band features a rising sun.
Africa Flag

Red and blue horizontal stripes of equal width that are separated by a stripe of green bordered in white, split into a Y. Left hand side shows a black isosceles triangle with yellow border.
Dominica Flag

Forest green with three horizontal and vertical black, yellow and white lines. The center is a red circle with a Sisserou parrot surrounded by 10, yellow lined green 5 point stars.
United State Flag

The upper left corner contains a blue rectangle featuring fifty small, white, five-pointed stars. The rest of the flag consists of alternating red and white horizontal stripes; seven red, six white.
Qatar Flag

The left third consists of a white band of color and the right two thirds consists of a maroon band of color. The two bands of color fit together with an elongated zigzag pattern with sharp points.
Saudi Flag

Green flag with a large white Arabic inscription centered horizontally. Directly underneath the inscription is a white sword laying on its side. This version of the flag was officially adopted in 1973.
New Zealand Flag

A royal blue background with the Union Flag in the canton, and four red stars with white borders to the right. The stars represent the constellation of Crux, the Southern Cross.
Ghana Flag

Three horizontal bands of red, green and yellow. A black 5 point star is centered in the yellow band.
Egypt Flag

Three horizontal bands of red, white and black. Egypt's national emblem, the Eagle of Saladin, is centered in the white band.
Columbia Flag

Horizontal bands of yellow, blue and red. The yellow stripe takes up the top half, with the blue and red taking up a quarter each.
Barbados Flag

Triband of ultramarine separated by a golden middle band. In the center of the golden band is a trident symbol.
Europe Flag

Vertical bands of green at the hoist, white and orange.
